Dementia is a terrible disease. I never knew exactly how bad the condition was until we pitched for the Axovant business. There have been no major breakthroughs in the area of dementia for decades. Axovant was positioned to be the first company to have a medication that can slow the disease significantly. But getting people to know about the drug wasn’t the problem. Getting people tested was. The earlier someone is diagnosed with dementia, the better the chance of prolonging a healthy state of mind. We attempted to get people tested by spreading the word that even simple forgetfulness or confusion could indicate early onset dementia. Your brain is the most important organ of the human body. It’s also the most neglected. That led us to ask the question: Is your brain trying to tell you something?

The 2017 Central Mexico earthquake struck at 13:14 CDT on September 19, 2017 with an estimated magnitude of 7.1 and strong shaking for about 20 seconds. The earthquake caused massive damage including the collapse of more than 40 buildings. 370 people were killed by the earthquake and related building collapses, with more than 6,000 injured. Over the following weeks, collaborating with Publicis Mexico, we set out to help aid those in need. In the end, the process of getting any work approved, up and running seemed insurmountable. Publicis opted to donate as a group. We were glad to help and still proud of the work that we did.
